The NABGG announced the results of their national election at the recent 23rd Annual National Convention held in Austin, Texas. The theme of this year’s convention was “Partnering Our Differing Worlds”. The results of the elections clearly show the diverse backgrounds of the newly elected NABGG Executive Team.
These are the new NABGG National Executive Team members for the 2005 2007 term:

-Treasurer – Marian Walters (ExxonMobil)

-Parliamentarian – Deborah Branch (BP)

-Member At Large – Roxanne Lamb (USGS)
NABGG is a leading promoter of diverity within all
sectors of the major geoscience disciplines, some specific examples include:
Environmental Studies, Geographic Sciences(GIS), Geology, Geophysics, Oceanography, Planetary Sciences, Astrophysics, and Mining Engineering.
NABGG will diligently increase minority representation in the geosciences through partnerships with academia and by mentoring undergraduate as well as graduate students.
